Our services are second to none because our people are second to none.

First and foremost, they're problem solvers.

Paul Linville, LPC

Paul is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City's Counseling and Guidance Program as well as the Greater Kansas City-Topeka Psychoanalytic Institute's Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program. He has worked in addictions (his first job was in a substance abuse treatment setting), and in a treatment program for clients with chronic and persistent mental illness. He currently works in a mental health setting and supervises graduate students in their counseling internship. He is also a candidate in the Psychoanalytic Institute's psychoanalyst training program.

It is axiomatic that many people's problems stem from issues that lie beneath the surface of their ordinary conscious awareness—which is why so many people have difficulty making changes in their lives-they're working with surface material and not getting at the root of their problem.

Paul believes that the goal of therapy should be to help clients achieve understanding, freedom, and happiness. It is important to work with people, not their "disorders".

Insurance: Paul will be happy to work with your insurance company.

Therapy: 55 minute session, $80.00
A sliding scale is available for some clients.

Chuck Whittington

Chuck is a mental health and relationship counselor. His focus is in working with couples and individuals. Some examples of client issues and concerns that he works with: depression, drug or alcohol addiction, anxiety, panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, low self-esteem/low self-confidence, life transitions, infidelity, family boundaries, communication, and premarital counseling.

Chuck graduated from MidAmerica University with a Master of Arts in Counseling and a focus on couples and families. He was a counseling intern at a local free health clinic for about a year and a half where he worked with individuals, groups, and couples. Chuck does therapy from a cognitive perspective and works with clients to help them modify their negative and unhelpful thinking patterns

Chuck does not accept insurance, but has a sliding scale that should make therapy affordable for most any client. He is happy to have a phone conversation with any potential clients before scheduling an appointment to ensure that he's a good fit for clients' needs.

Sliding scale from $60 - $100

"It should be noted that Turner Professional Group is a place, offered by George and Lisa, in which solo practitioners rent space. While we encourage a collegial atmosphere, Turner Professional Group is NOT a group practice in any sense. Each practitioner is a sole proprietor of their own practice and is responsible for adhering to the rules of their own profession. This adherence is not the responsibility of Turner Professional Group, George Turner, or Lisa Meyers to maintain or enforce. We encourage users of the services to ascertain the credentials and suitability of practitioners for themselves."
